U.S. President Donald Trump paused on arrival at a meeting of G7 leaders and their partners to tell them, “I’m the boss,” on Wednesday (June 17) on the closing day of a summit in France.

Trump's joke was met with laughter from attending leaders. He then proceeded to sit beside French President Emmanuel Macron.

The leaders met in Evian-les-Bains on Lake Geneva, while details of the U.S.-Iran ceasefire agreement trickled out of Washington and Tehran ahead of its formal unveiling, expected on Friday (June 19) across the nearby Swiss border.

The summit gave Trump a chance to present his deal with Iran to major allies Britain, Canada, France, Germany, Italy and Japan.

They mostly share Washington's concerns about Iran's nuclear programmed and other issues, but never endorsed his decision to go to war and worry that Tehran gained leverage by withstanding the superpower onslaught and asserting control over the Strait of Hormuz.
