Defense ministers of Japan and South Korea to meet in Seoul as part of 'shuttle diplomacy'

Japanese Defense Minister Shinjiro Koizumi will visit South Korea to have a summit with his counterpart Ahn Gyu-back in Seoul on Sunday, Seoul's Defense Ministry said on Friday.

The pair will meet at the ministry's headquarters in Seoul, the ministry said.

Koizumi's visit comes as part of the countries' shuttle diplomacy, with Ahn visiting Japan in January, according to the ministry.

The ministers will also visit the South Korean Air Force's Black Eagles aerobatic team to view their aircraft, the ministry said.
