Qatar — Qatar's Ministry of Defense said its armed forces thwarted an Iranian missile attack early Friday, while the Ministry of Interior reported that a child was injured by shrapnel from interception operations.


The Ministry of Interior said in a post on X that the child was receiving medical treatment.


Several explosion-like sounds were heard across the capital, Doha, as government security alerts were sent to mobile phones, according to a witness.
