About Jag Concepcion

Juan Arsenio Gabriel Concepcion, also known as Jag, is a filmmaker and media practitioner whose work moves across narrative film, digital advertising, branded content, travel programming, music videos, and short-form creative media. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Film from the University of the Philippines Diliman and a Master’s in Cinematography from MetFilm School London, grounding his practice in both cinematic discipline and visual experimentation. His first feature-length film was presented at the Marché du Film in France and later travelled through the international festival circuit, with screenings at the London East Asia International Film Festival in the UK, Dhaka International Film Festival in Bangladesh, Film Transsaharien de Zagora in Morocco, Wu Wei International Film Festival in Taiwan, Sinag Maynila in the Philippines, and the San Diego Filipino Film Festival in the USA. Beyond narrative cinema, Jag has also worked on travel programming, including a travel show streamed on Netflix, further expanding his experience in creating visually engaging stories across formats and audiences. With experience directing fully budgeted productions and shaping visual campaigns for cultural and commercial projects, he brings a strong command of storytelling, atmosphere, visual rhythm, and production craft. As a cinematographer, Jag has developed a cinematic language that is precise, emotionally driven, and adaptable across long-form narratives, music videos, branded content, and digital media. Guided by a passion for original storytelling, he is now focused on creating bold, imaginative, and story-driven work that contributes to a more dynamic and globally resonant visual culture.
