Viva reveals Sarah Geronimo will be back in 2027

Sarah Geronimo is expected to go back to work in 2027, according to Viva Communications Chairman and CEO Vic del Rosario.

“Next year, magtatrabaho na [si Sarah Geronimo]. Ayun lang ang masasabi ko,” Del Rosario said during the closing ceremony of Philippine Film Industry Month, where he received a Lifetime Achievement Award from the Film Development Council of the Philippines (FDCP).

While he did not directly confirm reports that Sarah may be pregnant, Del Rosario indicated that she is currently unable to return to work.

“Ayaw kong manggaling sa akin pero parang alam naman ng mga tao na hindi siya puwedeng magtrabaho,” he added.

“Sa ngayon, hindi pa siya pwedeng magtrabaho dahil she's enjoying her happy life.”

Sarah may not have a new acting project yet, but she remains busy with her endorsement commitments.

Del Rosario’s comments came amid continued speculation that Sarah, 38, and her husband, Matteo Guidicelli, 36, may be expecting their first child.

The rumors gained wider attention in August after Matteo shared an ultrasound teaser on social media. The post triggered a frenzy among fans, with many initially interpreting it as a possible hint that Sarah was pregnant.

Adding to the speculation last month, a friend who met Matteo at a coffee shop in Quezon City shared a now-deleted photo with the actor-host on Facebook. He reminisced about their friendship and past military-related activities before adding, “He is soon to be a daddy. Congratulations, bro!”

The post quickly circulated online, fueling further speculation that Sarah and Matteo may be expecting a baby. However, neither Sarah nor Matteo has publicly confirmed the pregnancy.

On Thursday, Matteo shared another endearing moment with Sarah on social media, posting a photo of the couple embracing.

Sarah and Matteo began dating in 2013 and got married in 2020 in a private ceremony in Taguig City.
