Fans of the longest running Filipino horror series “Shake, Rattle & Roll” can now stream three new films with the addition of "Shake, Rattle and Roll XIII, XIV, and XV."
Regal Entertainment announced the news on Tuesday, August 18, with all three films quickly landing on Netflix Philippines’ Top Movies list. “Shake Rattle & Roll” franchise is officially shaking up the Netflix Philippines Top Movies today!” Regal Entertainment shared in a social media post.
“From classic scares to iconic nightmares.” The announcement quickly caught the attention of horror fans, especially those who grew up watching the iconic anthology franchise.
“Ilagay nyo dyan ang LRT di mawawala sa list yan,” one user commented, referring to the popular “LRT” segment from an earlier installment. Another fan wrote, “Top 10 lahat ng SRR. Sana pati yung umpisa ng SRR para mapanood namin.”
The three newly added films now join “Shake, Rattle & Roll Extreme,” the franchise’s 16th installment, and “Shake, Rattle & Roll: Evil Origins,” the 17th and latest entry, which were previously added to Netflix. Both films have also reached the number one spot among movies on the streaming platform.
Released in 2011, “Shake, Rattle & Roll XIII” brings together three horror stories: “Tamawo,” “Parola,” and “Rain, Rain Go Away.”
In Richard V. Somes’ “Tamawo,” a family moves to an isolated farm, only to encounter terrifying supernatural beings. Jerrold Tarog’s “Parola” follows two high school friends who visit an old lighthouse and become possessed by rival witches, while Chris Martinez’s “Rain, Rain Go Away” centers on a group trapped by a devastating flood as strange horrors begin to emerge.
The film stars Zanjoe Marudo, Maricar Reyes, Bugoy Cariño, Kathryn Bernardo, Louise delos Reyes, Eugene Domingo, Edgar Allan Guzman, and Shamaine Buencamino, among others.
“Shake, Rattle & Roll XIV: The Invasion” continued the anthology format with three stories directed by Chito Roño: “Pamana,” “Lost Command,” and “Unwanted.”
The first follows four cousins whose inheritance comes with terrifying consequences, while “Lost Command” centers on soldiers fighting to survive a zombie outbreak. “Unwanted,” meanwhile, follows a couple trapped inside a shopping mall after the building collapses. The film features Herbert Bautista, Janice de Belen, Dennis Trillo, Paulo Avelino, Vhong Navarro, and Lovi Poe, among others.
Rounding out the newly added titles is “Shake, Rattle & Roll XV,” directed by Percival Intalan, Dondon S. Santos, and Jerrold Tarog. The 15th installment features “Ahas,” “Ulam,” and “Flight 666,” with stories involving a mysterious snake-like creature lurking inside a shopping mall, a family transformed after eating a disturbing meal, and a vampire born aboard a plane during a hijacking. The anthology stars Erich Gonzales, JC de Vera, Carla Abellana, Matteo Guidicelli, Kiray Celis, Khalil Ramos, and John Lapus.
The first SRR film was released 42 years ago in 1984. The latest installment was released in 2025, making it the 17th movie in the series.
