Lotlot de Leon has spoken up about the issue surrounding the late Nora Aunor’s inheritance and legacy, addressing statements made by her brother Ian de Leon that she said deeply hurt her and their siblings.

Lotlot responded to Ian’s earlier remarks while attending the press conference for her upcoming film “40 Days.” The actress said she had not spoken to Ian for about a year before his recent appearance on “Fast Talk With Boy Abunda.”

“Ian was interviewed before I came here. He was in Fast Talk With Boy Abunda. Hindi ko siya nakausap ng isang taon na,” Lotlot said.

Lotlot shared that she initially chose to remain silent despite the statements made about her, her sister Matet, and their brothers Kiko and Ken. She said she did so out of respect for their parents, but felt the need to speak when she believed her siblings were being unfairly portrayed.

The actress firmly denied claims that she and her siblings were after Nora’s properties. “Let me be clear, wala akong hinahabol na mana. Wala akong hinihinging mana. Ni piso wala. Kaya kong magtrabaho at magpakahirap at magpuyat,” she said.

Lotlot explained that the only properties left by the Superstar were lands in Bicol. After Nora’s death, she said she personally approached Ian to ask whether he was willing to share those properties with his siblings.

“Tinanong ko siya, are you willing to share the properties of mommy, and tinanong ko ’yan without Matet, Kiko, and Ken knowing. Why? Kasi naawa ako dun sa tatlo,” Lotlot said.

However, she stressed that she and her siblings had already accepted that whatever Nora left behind would belong to Ian, who is Nora’s only biological child.

“Walang nanghihingi niyan. Walang nang-aagaw,” she said. “At sinabi ko kay Ian, if you are willing to share your properties with us, maraming salamat. Kung hindi, okay lang. Walang problema. I just wanted to know if he would.”

Lotlot also addressed the foundation established to continue Nora Aunor’s legacy. She said she had previously asked Ian if he wanted to be involved, but he allegedly told her he was not ready and would not contribute financially.

Because of this, Lotlot said she was hurt when Ian publicly claimed that he had no knowledge of the foundation. “Hindi ko maintindihan, bakit puro kasinungalingan ang mga lumalabas sa bibig mo, Ian?” she said.

“Ako, tahimik na ako eh. But I will not allow anyone to put Matet down, to put Kiko down, to put Ken down, and to say all these lies. Because it’s not true.”

Lotlot became emotional as she recalled her relationship with Ian, saying he was the sibling she helped care for whenever Nora was away. Despite the controversy, she insisted that she was not asking for anything from their late mother’s estate.

“Wala kaming hinihingi. Wala akong inaagaw. Walang inaagaw si Matet. He can have it all. Kasi para sa akin, sapat na natawag kong mommy si Nora Aunor. Sapat na napalaki ako ng isang Superstar. Sapat na na nabigyan ako ng pangalan ni mommy,” she said.

Ian, meanwhile, appeared on “Fast Talk With Boy Abunda” on Friday, where he discussed the legal structure involving Nora’s legacy. He said the OPC oversees both the for-profit Nora Aunor Enterprise and the non-profit Nora Aunor Foundation.

Nora Aunor passed away on April 16, 2025, at the age of 71. According to Ian, her cause of death was acute respiratory failure.
