Dennis Trillo’s son, Calix Andreas Ho, recently teased netizens when he was asked, “Gusto mo ba mag-K-pop, Calix? Hahaha, kami na bahala hahaha.” With laughing emojis, the 19-year-old replied, “Pwede!” His response has since earned more than 17,000 likes.
Another netizen encouraged Calix to join a survival show, writing, “Sali ka lang kahit isang survival show, Calix. Kami na ang bahala magpa-trending sa’yo at sa voting! Ahaha.” Calix responded, “pbb?” referring to the popular reality show Pinoy Big Brother.
His banter with netizens came amid online chatter surrounding his blended family. Netizens found the K-pop exchange particularly amusing since Michelle Garcia, the daughter of Patrick Garcia and Nikka Martinez, is an active K-pop trainee under SM Universe Singapore. Calix’s stepmom Jennylyn and Patrick were former partners.
While Calix’s “Pwede!” response appeared to be made in jest, he has expressed a genuine interest in exploring showbiz. Dennis previously shared on “Fast Talk with Boy Abunda” that his son wants to take acting workshops and voice lessons. Dennis also said he plans to personally train his eldest son once his school break begins.
Calix already has some exposure to the entertainment industry. He has been featured in endorsements with Dennis, Jennylyn, and his stepbrother Alex Jazz. He has also appeared on “Family Feud” with his University of the Philippines Fencing teammates, winning the ₱200,000 jackpot prize.
His family life has also been visible on social media, with photos and videos shared by Dennis and Jennylyn showing how close Calix is to his siblings, Jazz and youngest sister Dylan Jayde.
As a UP Diliman student athlete, Calix recently won Rookie of the Year and an individual epee gold medal at the UAAP Season 88 Men’s Fencing Tournament.
Calix is Dennis’ son with former partner Carlene Aguilar, a former beauty queen.
