Dennis Trillo attended the Golden Screen Awards: Dekada Awards 2026 in a custom-made barong embroidered with the names of his wife, actress Jennylyn Mercado, and their children, Calix, Dylan, and Jazz.

Held at the MMFF Auditorium in Pasig City on October 4, 2026, the ceremony marked a major night for the actor, who took home two acting honors for his performances in Felix Manalo (2015) and Green Bones (2024).

The personalized Paulo Lazaro Barong, styled by AJ Alberto, featured Jennylyn’s name along with names of Calix, Dylan, and Jazz embroidered on the back. The design also reflected Dennis’ personal life and career, including an embroidered African Grey parrot representing their pet, Pebble.

Other details on the barong included a cat, an award trophy, film rolls and strips, and a film slate, while twinkling symbols were scattered across the barong.

Paulo Lazaro Studio described the barong in an Instagram post as “embroidered with details that tell his story—from his craft to the things he loves.”

Dennis, 45, also shared photos of himself in the outfit, including pictures with Pebble and close-up shots of the barong’s intricate details.

“Maraming salamat kagabi,” Dennis wrote in his latest post, thanking his stylists AJ Alberto and Danilo de Castro Jr.

The ceremony was a major milestone for Dennis, who won the second Dekada award of his career and the Best Actor award, making him the only artist to receive two major acting trophies that night.

During his acceptance speech, Dennis lightheartedly joked, “Magandang gabi po sa inyong lahat, sayang hindi ko dala ‘yung bag ko ngayon para malagay ‘yung dalawang trophies,” before thanking his supporters, team, and his family. He gave special mention to Jennylyn, whom he thanked for being his number one supporter.

Dennis’ awards-night appearance came after he had been in the public spotlight over the past week following Patrick Garcia’s interview.

The bag joke also echoed a recent video in which Dennis appeared to make a lighthearted reference to the issue while talking about endorsing a bag. “Ano ang bag mo? (Ano ambag mo?),” he said in the video, in what appeared to be a jab at Patrick Garcia over his alleged lack of support for Jazz.
