China's Vice Premier He Lifeng reaffirmed Beijing’s support for the WTO, opposing unilateralism and protectionism, and pledged active participation in reforms to promote a stable and open global trading system.
China's Vice Premier He Lifeng met in Beijing on Tuesday with the World Trade Organization (WTO) Director-General Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, state news agency Xinhua reported on Wednesday.
He said China firmly supports the multilateral trading system with the WTO at its core and opposes unilateralism and protectionism, Xinhua reported.
China will actively take part in WTO reform and work towards an "open, stable and predictable" international trading environment, He said, according to Xinhua.
