BEIJING – Three Chinese nationals were injured in a Ukrainian drone attack on Moscow, according to Chinese state media on Tuesday.

The Chinese embassy in Russia said two of the injured are receiving treatment at a local hospital and are in stable condition with no life-threatening injuries. The third person requested to return to China for further medical treatment.

The embassy said it immediately activated its emergency response mechanism and urged Russian authorities to provide medical care for the injured and ensure the safety and property of Chinese citizens in the country.

The three Chinese nationals were among 10 people injured in the drone attack, which took place overnight from Sunday into Monday. -Reporting by Liz Lee and Shanghai newsroom; Editing by Tom Hogue/Reuters
