Thailand will tighten its rules for visas on arrival due to national security concerns, a Foreign Ministry official said on Tuesday

The move will bring an end to a 60 day visa-free stay agreed with 93 countries, the official said, without elaborating on the security concerns.

Thailand's foreign minister had previously said there was a plan to reduce the duration from 60 to 30 days.
