The number of confirmed Ebola cases in the Democratic Republic of Congo has risen to 2,423, with 967 deaths recorded, according to government data released on Monday.

DAKAR – The number of confirmed Ebola cases in the Democratic Republic of Congo has risen to 2,423, with 967 deaths recorded, according to government data released on Monday.


The country's National Institute of Public Health said in its latest report that 79 new cases were confirmed on Sunday in the eastern provinces of Ituri and North Kivu.
