The Democratic Republic of Congo said late Monday that the number of confirmed Ebola cases in the country had risen to 1,048, including 267 deaths.


The latest figures come after the number of confirmed cases surpassed 1,000 for the first time since the outbreak began, highlighting the continuing public health challenge facing the country.
