North Korea leader Kim Jong Un's daughter makes public visit to state mausoleum
North Korean leader Kim Jong Un’s daughter, Ju Ae, made her first public visit to the Kumsusan mausoleum with her parents, signaling her rising prominence in state affairs. Analysts speculate she could be positioned as the country’s potential fourth-generation leader.

North Korean leader Kim Jong Un’s daughter, Ju Ae, made her first public appearance at the Kumsusan Mausoleum to pay respects to former leaders, state-run television KRT reported on Friday (January 2).
Ju Ae has been appearing more prominently in state media over the past three years, prompting analysts and South Korea’s intelligence agency to speculate that she could be in line to become the country’s fourth-generation leader.
Kim Jong Un was joined by his wife, Ri Sol Ju, and senior officials during the visit on Thursday (January 1). Photographs aired by KRT showed Ju Ae standing between her parents in the main hall of the Kumsusan Palace of the Sun.
Believed to have been born in the early 2010s, Kim Ju Ae also attended this year’s New Year celebrations, according to state media. In September, she accompanied her father on her first public overseas visit to Beijing. North Korea has never confirmed her exact age.
