Robinhood Padilla

This is the driving force behind Senator Robin Padilla—Robinhood Ferdinand Cariño Padilla in real life—as he champions the welfare of ordinary Filipino: 

“Kailangan hindi ka lang action hero sa pelikula. 'Pag sinabi na action hero ka, kahit sa totoong buhay.” (“You shouldn't just be an action hero in the movies. If you are called an action hero, you should be one in real life, too.”)

Guided by the philosophy that true leadership extends beyond his cinematic persona, Padilla transitioned to the Senate after securing the highest number of votes in the 2022 national elections, making history as the first Muslim senator elected since 1995.

His current legislative agenda focuses on the following key areas:

  - Social Justice & Labor Protection: Championing the "Eddie Garcia Law" for entertainment sector workers, granting civil service eligibility to long-term contractual government workers, and expanding benefits for Barangay Health Workers.

  - National Identity & Culture: Mandating the prioritized use of the Filipino language in official government communications and court documents, alongside reinforcing Philippine History in the K-12 curriculum.
  - Systemic Governance Reform: Serving as the Chairperson of the Senate Committee on Constitutional Amendments and Revision of Codes, where he advocates for Federalism and economic Charter Change to decentralize wealth to rural provinces.
