As a politician, Senator Aquino passed 19 laws, including several key initiatives:


  • The Go Negosyo Act: His first law, which established hundreds of Negosyo Centers across the Philippines to support Filipinos in starting and growing their own businesses.

  • The Micro-Finance NGOs Act: A measure that supports the micro-finance sector and its beneficiaries.

  • The Youth Entrepreneurship Act: Legislation ensuring that financial literacy and entrepreneurship are taught in schools.

  • The Universal Access to Quality Tertiary Education Act: His most recent law as principal sponsor, which provides free tuition and miscellaneous expenses in State Universities and Colleges (SUCs), Local Universities and Colleges (LUCs), and TESDA-accredited Technical-Vocational Institutions.
