Trevor Zegras and Matvei Michkov scored in a shootout to give the Philadelphia Flyers a 4-3 win over the Los Angeles Kings on Thursday, extending Philadelphia's streak of extra-time victories on the road.

Noah Cates added a goal and an assist, while Travis Konecny and Travis Sanheim also scored for the Flyers (33-23-12, 78 points), who have now won six consecutive road games, all in overtime. Michkov and Rasmus Ristolainen each had two assists. Goaltender Sam Ersson made 22 saves through regulation and overtime and stopped both Kings shooters in the shootout. Zegras, the Flyers’ first shooter, executed a forehand deke, and Michkov sealed the victory with a precise slot shot.

The Flyers sit six points out of a playoff spot with 14 games remaining in the regular season.

For the Kings (28-24-16, 72 points), Artemi Panarin recorded a goal and an assist, while Quinton Byfield and Anze Kopitar scored once each. Goalie Darcy Kuemper stopped 17 shots through regulation and overtime. Los Angeles holds the Western Conference’s second wild-card spot with 14 games left, despite alternating wins and losses over their last 11 games.

Byfield opened the scoring with a top-corner shot from inside the right circle with 29 seconds left in the first period, sparking a back-and-forth contest. Konecny tied it 26 seconds into the second, followed quickly by Kopitar, who regained the lead with a tap-in. Philadelphia responded with two goals in just over six minutes, as Cates scored on a rebound at 4:12 and Sanheim added a point shot at 6:59. Panarin tied the game with a power-play goal midway through the third period, sending the contest to overtime.
